British Council recently hosted a series of Cultural Nights that celebrated the collaboration between UK and Saudi artists. Award-winning UK poet Astrid Alben joined forces with Saudi Novelist Dr. Monther Alkabbani and other esteemed writers to explore storytelling and creativity.
The events featured a vibrant exchange between Alben and Saudi poet Ghassan Alkhunaizi who both created a booklet of translated contemporary poems, culminating in a British-Saudi poetry-musical celebration by Musician Raif Bukhari.
This collaboration, supported by the British Council Saudi Arabia and Sidra Arts, highlighted the unifying power of poetry and cultural exchange. Over 100 attendees left inspired by the artistic diversity and shared cultural experiences.
