Dr Abeer Alharbi

Assistant Professor, King Saud bin Abdulaziz University, University of Oxford

Alharbi is working as an assistant professor at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences. The University of Oxford provides a stimulating and unique learning environment that enables collaboration with distinguished scientists and enthusiastic students from all over the globe to tackle scientific questions that affect our health. This community provides Alharbi with unique knowledge and an enhanced skillset enabling her to pursue her career as a faculty member. Alharbi is establishing a lab that aims to underpin the genetic basis of hematological malignancies, with the ultimate goal being to develop targeted therapies based on the genetic makeup of the Saudi population.

Dr Manar Samman

Manar Samman, a University of Leeds graduate, played a pivotal role in diagnosing hereditary diseases, impacting patient care in KSA. As a researcher, mentor, and educator, she uses her knowledge to shape the future of medical professionals and influences national healthcare policies. Her Leeds experience, immersed in research and global focus, instilled critical thinking and practical skills, preparing her for a dynamic medical landscape. Looking forward, Manar aspires to lead initiatives integrating genomics into personalized and preventive medicine, globally advancing diagnostics and treatment while advocating for excellence in Saudi Arabian medical education and practice.

Dr Rana Alghamdi

Associate Professor, King Abdulaziz University, University of Essex

Dr. Rana Alghamdi, an accomplished researcher and community advocate, leverages her expertise to lead cutting-edge colon cancer research at the Regenerative Medicine Unit of King Abdulaziz University. Her passion for innovative research embodies the vision of Saudi 2030 for a diversified, knowledge-based economy. 

Her education at the University of Essex provided her with a stimulating blend of academic rigor and cultural richness, honing her leadership, and problem-solving skills, thus empowering her current success.
