Dr Aysha Alsalih received her PhD from Royal Holloway, University of London.
Dr Aysha is the first Saudi female to hold a doctorate degree in Accounting and Islamic Finance and the first Saudi and Gulf citizen to earn a Masters and PhD from Royal Holloways School of Management. She joined Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University (PNU) as an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Business and Management, and was the first Saudi to specialise in Management Studies. She was also the first to become a Saudi Chairperson of a Department at the college. Dr Aysha is the Project Manager of PNU Academic Affairs Strategic Plan.
In 2017, she was honoured as the winner of His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi’s, Sharjah Award for Doctoral Dissertations in Management Sciences in the Arab World.
She is experienced in different fields of work, including Banking, Insurance, NGOs, consultation, and of course, Education. Dr Aysha says that her UK experience allowed her to grow as a person, both professionally and personally, and that without this experience she could not have been prepared for her Academic career at PNU. With over 2,000 students in BSc Accounting and 40 Faculty members under her guidance, she uses the skills she has gained through her UK education everyday to help herself and others grow.
