Mr. Sultan is currently a professor of computational and applied linguistics at KSU's College of Humanities and Social Sciences (Saudi Arabia). He received his Ph.D. in Corpus Linguistics from the University of Exeter (the UK) in 2013. He teaches and conducts research on various aspects of corpus analysis and linguistic data analytics, with an interest in utilizing large/small-scale natural language data for research projects in humanities and social sciences.
The subject he chose to study was corpus linguistics. This subject combines a wide variety of computational techniques for upgrading research projects. He realized that new innovations in research usually occur in the UK universities. This field helped him disseminate its continuous applications to local social and economic research sectors.
