Dr. Majed Alghoribi is the Chairman of the Infectious Diseases Research Department and an Associate Research Scientist at the King Abdullah International Medical Research Centre (KAIMRC). Dr. Alghoribi received his BSc in Microbiology from Umm Al-Qura University, his MSc in Molecular and Medical Microbiology from the University of Manchester, and his PhD in Infection, Immunity, Inflammation, and Repair from the University of Manchester. In addition, he obtained another MSc in Leadership at the University of Salford.
Dr. Majed Alghoribi’s studies in the UK took him through extensive research and the utilisation of advanced technologies to investigate and understand the threat of infectious diseases. With a PhD and a Master’s in infectious diseases, he recognised the need to gain professional leadership skills. He then obtained another master’s degree in leadership and management.
