Aiman Alsaeedi is a lecturer at Umm Al-Qura University, where he earned a BA with first-class honors in media studies. Aiman worked as a news reporter and editor before holding a Ph.D. in Broadcasting from the University of Sheffield. His research explored the relationship between traditional and citizen journalism within the Arab media and proposed guidelines for handling user-generated content in the newsroom. He also holds an MA in Communication Studies from the University of Leeds.
He's establishing Saudi Arabia's first innovative media lab. Aiman says studying in the UK prepared him for industry developments. Support research into media innovation and the training of future journalists.
