Dr. Mohammed Alhefzi obtained his MBBS from King Khalid University (Abha, Saudi Arabia) and received his MSc with Merit from Swansea University Medical School (Swansea, Wales, UK) as the first Saudi accredited physician to pursue Health Informatics as a track specialization to be introduced as a part of the Preventive and Community Medicine Residency Program in the kingdom.
For that, Swansea University was the institute of choice for his endeavor, and still introducing strong collaboration with many KSA scientific institutes and NGOs.
Upon his return, he was the Head of Clinical Informatics at King Fahd Specialist Hospital in Dammam (KFSH-D) as well as, King Faisal Medical City for Southern Regions (KFMCity) and was the eHealth team lead for the newly introduced Model of Care in the 1st Health Cluster in the Eastern Province, responsible of digitizing the chronic diseases clinical pathways along with cross-cutting systems of care.
He currently is the Digital Partner & Country Lead at Pfizer Saudi Arabia, continuing his journey from his last post as the Digital Health Lead at Novartis Saudi Arabia, where he envisions revamping digital health in the local pharma and life sciences industry. Alongside being the Vice President of the Saudi Association for Health Informatics (SAHI), and the former Managing Director of the Saudi Scientific Society for Preventive Health (SSSPH); his impactful journey continues.
